All the winners of the French Olympic Sailing Week

New names shine in Hyères as sailing’s future takes shape

Set against the luminous coastline of the Bay of Hyères, the 56th edition of the French Olympic Sailing Week (Semaine Olympique Française) took place from 19 to 26 April 2025, drawing 729 sailors from 56 nations for six days of high-level competition across ten Olympic classes.

Renowned for its complex and shifting winds, Hyères once again proved itself as a stage where precision, patience, and tactical skill are rewarded. “The conditions here revealed the depth of a new generation of sailors, many of whom are vying for Olympic selection for Los Angeles 2028,” said Jean-Pierre Giran, Mayor of Hyères and President of the Toulon Provence Méditerranée region.

A legacy of sailing in Hyères

For more than five decades, the French Olympic Sailing Week, organised by the French Sailing Federation (FFVoile), has shaped generations of Olympic hopefuls and world champions. More than a regatta, the event offers a complete celebration of the sport, with cultural programming, performances, and public activities transforming the city’s harbour into a centre of sailing culture.

Hyères’ natural nautical stadium, framed by the Les Îles d’Or and marked by shifting Mediterranean winds, once again provided a true test of seamanship — and a proving ground for those with their sights set on the Olympic podium.
